Design and comfort are the watchwords that have guided the Palomba e Serafini Associati studio through the design of Boutique Hotel La Roqqa in Porto Ercole (Gr), creating bright rooms with elegant lines into which this sinuous staircase fits.
The shapes abandon classical geometries to emphasise the harmony of the whole. The initial steps, with their greater width, are an invitation to climb the staircase, only to be enveloped by the long parapets that convey safety to the entire structure.
The staircase made entirely of painted steel with closed risers and treads is composed of three imposing blocks assembled on site with particular aesthetic care to make the joints between the parts invisible.
